But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.” -Muhammad Ali I received a call and email from someone who said she had searched 15 bakeries in the area only to receive a "No" regarding making her a custom boxing cake for her friend's birthday.  Almost about to give up, she found me on yelp. When I picked up the phone & she gave me a short description of her cake, I asked her to email me a photo with some details that she required on the cake.  I said "Yes," to the design and she was overjoyed. I can't imagine going to 15 different places and being persistent to find someone to make a custom cake, but that just shows how much she cares to make her friend's birthday memorable and I'm sure glad that she did!         

  I received a sweet call from a mother in Texas.  She wanted me to make a special birthday cake for her son who had served in Afghanistan and is currently stateside.  He had celebrated other birthdays away from home, including in Afghanistan where they tried to send cookies, unsuccessfully.  Receiving this call, I was almost in tears and felt honored to make his birthday special with an Army Helicopter Cake, along with an adorable video of his niece singing happy birthday.
