Cupcakes & Frostings

Joyce Gourmet will also cater to your cupcake desires!  The list of flavors for both cupcake and frosting is growing and hence not (and may never be) complete.  If you have a flavor that is not on the list below, please inquire. 

All of my cupcakes and frostings are made from scratch, no more than 48 hours before your scheduled event date.  I take pride in my work and only offer baked goods with the finest ingredients: real butter, fresh brown eggs, velvety chocolate, rich cream, fresh fruits.


For ideal texture and fullest flavor, butter-based cupcakes must be served at room temperature.  Please refer to General Serving Guidelines below.

Standard Cupcakes:
Chocolate Butter Cupcake - full flavored rich chocolate butter cupcake
Gold Vanilla Butter Cupcake - also known as yellow cake, full flavored vanilla butter cake

White Vanilla Butter Cupcake - flavorful butter cake made with egg whites
Almond Cupcake - yellow cake infused with almond extract

Red Velvet Cupcake - red classic cocoa powder infused cake 
Marble Cupcake - a blend of Gold Vanilla and Chocolate butter cakes
Lemon Cupcake - a light, tangy cake infused with lemon zest & lemon juice
Camouflage Cupcake - Blend of camouflage colors
Key Lime Cream Cake - a light, tangy cake infused with keylime zest & keylime juice

Joyce's Buttercream (JBC) - Classic Italian Meringue buttercream made with 100% butter (silky & rich)
     Chocolate buttercream - melted chocolate folded into JBC
     Mocha Buttercream - concentrated espresso folded into JBC
     Raspberry Buttercream - Raspberry puree folded into JBC
     Nutella Buttercream - Chocolate hazelnut spread folded into JBC
     Caramel buttercream - milk caramel folded into JBC
     Chocolate Mint - mint extract incorporated into chocolate buttercream
House Buttercream (HBC) - made with butter, shortening, and no eggs
Colored Buttercream - all of the colored buttercream cakes are crumb coated with vanilla JBC and can be finished with HBC colored to your specifications and desires

Old Fashioned Buttercream -
Vanilla Buttercream- real butter whipped with pure vanilla extract, powdered sugar, whipped cream
Chocolate - melted chocolate folded into vanilla buttercream
Mocha - espresso whipped into buttercream
Lemon - lemon extract incorporated into buttercream
Raspberry - Raspberry Puree folded into buttercream
Nutella - Chocolate Hazelnut spread folded into buttercream

Chocolate Mousse - whipped chocolate ganache (100% heavy cream cooked w/ rich semisweet chocolate)
White Chocolate Mousse - whipped white chocolate ganache (100% heavy cream cooked w/white chocolate) 
Cream Cheese Frosting (regular, lemon, almond, cinnamon, paired with red velvet or carrot cake)
Whipped Cream - 100% heavy cream whipped with pure vanilla extract & powdered sugar

Oreo whipped cream - crushed Oreos folded into fresh whipped cream

Fresh Fruits & Whipped Cream - Fresh strawberries, raspberries, or bananas topped with fresh whipped cream

Accent Frosting
Chocolate Ganache - a thin spread of real melted chocolate with whipped cream
Raspberry Jam - a thin spread of jam to accent the flavors
Strawberry Jam a thin spread of jam to accent the flavors
Apricot Jama thin spread of jam to accent the flavors

Glazes - no sugar added
Dark Chocolate Ganache Glaze - smooth icing made with melted dark chocolate and heavy cream
Milk chocolate Ganache Glaze - smooth icing made with melted milk chocolate and heavy cream 
White chocolate Ganache Glaze - smooth icing made with melted white chocolate and heavy cream




General Serving Guidelines
- Serve cupcakes at room temperature, (except those with whipped cream frosting)
- The time it takes for a cupcake to reach room temperature varies depending on a number of factors including cake size, weather and temperature. As a general guideline, remove cupake from refrigeration:
=> 1 to 2 hours before serving cupcakes
- Do not leave cupcakes under direct sunlight
- Do not leave cupcakes inside car (direct sunlight and/or heat may cause the cupcake frosting to melt
Warning: if you serve a cold butter-based cupcake, you may perceive it as hard, dry or stale
